Attestation Services

Attestation Services

The Embassy of India, Bahrain performs attestation of documents/ affidavits executed by Indian citizens as well as OCI Card holders residents in Bahrain. Attestation services are provided for documents such as Power of Attorney, Will, Civil documents viz. Birth Certificate, Death Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Educational Certificates etc., Commercial documents and Miscellaneous Affidavits (Single or Joint) executed by the applicants.

Affidavits should be submitted by the executant on plain paper using appropriate format and language. It is open to the Consular Officer to vet these documents for any possible discrepancy, malafide content, completeness of document etc. The document will be attested once the Consular Officer is generally satisfied with the content, language, format etc.

The following norms are to be observed in general, while submitting the affidavits:

    • All Affidavits should be submitted in duplicate.
    • The executant should sign the Affidavit in person in presence of the Consular Officer/ Accepting Officer.
    • The executant must produce his/ her valid Indian Passport/ OCI card (in original) for verification of the executant. Photocopy of the passport/ OCI card will not be accepted.

    IMPORTANT NOTE

    • The Fee mentioned is as prescribed by the Government of India and is subject to change without prior notice. The applicable fee will be notified to the applicant at the time of acceptance of documents.
    • All attestations are subject to the satisfaction of the Consular Officer for reasons of fraud, illegality, incapacity etc. Applicants are required to submit/ produce additional documents if required.
    • Original Passport/ OCI card is to be presented at the counter while submitting the document for attestation. Photocopy of the passport will not be accepted.
    • Attestation services are available for Indian residents under the jurisdiction of Embassy of India, Bahrain.
    • Attestation services will be provided only to resident permit holders.

    All the consular services including Attestation services and other Miscellaneous consular services can be availed OF at the, Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) located at No. 234, First Floor, Bahrain Mall, Avenue 28, Building 184, Block 410, Sanabis, Manama.
