Welcome to Embassy of India, Kingdom of Bahrain

The Indian Embassy in Bahrain was opened in January 1973.
In accordance with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations-1961, the Embassy of India in the Kingdom of Bahrain performs a range of essential diplomatic and consular functions, including but not limited to:

(a)  Representing the Republic of India in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
(b) Protecting the interests of the Republic of India and its nationals in Bahrain, within the limits permitted by international law.
(c)  Engaging in negotiations with the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain to advance bilateral cooperation.
(d) Gathering information on conditions and developments in Bahrain through lawful means and reporting them to the Government of India.
(e) Promoting friendly relations between India and Bahrain, and enhancing economic, cultural, and scientific collaboration.
(f) Rendering consular services, including passport and visa issuance, and providing assistance to Indian citizens residing or travelling in Bahrain.
