(a) Duplicate Birth Certificate
Requirements for issue of Duplicate Birth Certificate:
Note:
(i) Only those Indian Nationals born in Bahrain and whose birth was registered with the Embassy, shall be issued duplicate Birth Certificate. In other cases, the applicant may request for a certificate based on the entries on the passport.
(ii) In case the applicant is not a resident in Bahrain, he/she may authorise a relative/friend to submit the original application on their behalf.
(b) Miscellaneous Certificate based on entries on the Indian passport

(c) Solemnization of Marriage
Introduction
A marriage between parties one of whom at least is a citizen of India may be solemnized under the Foreign Marriage Act of 1969 by or before a Marriage Officer, Embassy of India, Bahrian, if, at the time of the marriage, the following conditions are fulfilled, namely:—
(a) neither party has a spouse living
(b) neither party is an idiot or a lunatic
(c) the bridegroom has completed the age of twenty-one years and the bride the age of eighteen years at the time of the marriage
(d) the parties are not within the degrees of prohibited relationship, and
(e) at least one of the applicants has residence permit of Bahrain.
Process Marriage Solemnization
Step1: Newspaper advertisement is to be given by both the parties for publication in local English Newspaper as well as English Newspaper in India/concerned country in the place of permanent residence indicated in the passport. Step 2: Both the parties are required to submit the following documents at ICAC:-
Additional document: If one of the parties is a foreign national, a No Objection Certificates/Affidavit (in respect of his/her marital status and willingness to marry an Indian) from the concerned Consulate/ Embassy and attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bahrain is required to be submitted.
Step 3: A copy of the Notice of intended marriage will be displayed on the Embassy notice board for 30 days.
Step 4: After 30 days of notice period, marriage will be solemnized on a fixed date and time. The date/time will be communicated separately by email/phone.
Bridegroom, Bride and three witnesses are required to appear before Marriage Officer for signatures with their original passports at the time of solemnization of the Marriage.

(d) NRI CERTIFICATE
Introduction:
A Non-Resident Indian (NRI) Certificate is a document that is issued by Indian Embassies, High Commissions and Consulates abroad to an Indian National overseas for certifying the NRI status of the applicant. NRIs enjoy several benefits and privileges in India for which presentation of this NRI Certificate is necessary.
Eligibility Conditions:
NRI Certificate may be issued to an Indian National/Indian Passport holder who qualifies to be a NRI as defined under Section 6 of the Income Tax Act, 1961 that states the following:
An individual will be treated as a Resident in India in any previous year if he/she satisfies any of the following conditions:
1. If he/she is in India for a period of 182 days, or more during the previous year, or
2. If he/she is in India for a period of 60 days or more during the previous year and 365 days or more during 4 years immediately preceding the previous year.
An individual who does not satisfy both the conditions as mentioned above will be treated as Non-Resident in that previous year. However, in respect of an Indian citizen and a Person of Indian Origin who visits India during the year, the period of 60 days as mentioned in (2) above shall be substituted with 182 days. The similar concession is provided to the Indian citizen who leaves India in any previous year as a crew member or for the purpose of employment outside India.
The Finance Act, 2020, w.e.f. Assessment Year 2021-22 has amended the above exception to provide that the period of 60 days as mentioned in (2) above shall be substituted with 120 days, if an Indian citizen or a person of Indian origin whose Total Income, other than Income from Foreign Sources, exceeds ₹ 15 lakh during the previous year.
As per section 6(1A) of The Finance Act, 2020 an Indian citizen earning Total Income in excess of ₹ 15 lakh (other than income from foreign sources) shall be deemed to be Resident in India if he / she is not liable to pay tax in any country.
APPLICATION PROCESS & DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
For the purpose of issuance of NRI Certificate, the applicant has to submit an application with the following documents:
(e) Police Clearance Certificate (PCC)
To be applied in person.

Note: PCC will be issued only after receipt of CLEAR police verification report.
